Rediscovering things ...

   This photo is framed in my house. Since I can remember, it's full of dust, on my shelves.
   I discovered that this place exists and belongs to the famous stairs that decorate the entire city that I spoke about 👀

Montmartre

   I wanna show you a singular, simple and picturesque place that i'd like to visit in a few of years (specifically with my dad, i won't go alone).

   I'm talking about Montmartre, a beautiful neighborhood of Paris, located on a hill (130 meters), loaded with art history and multiple coffee shops to relax; which it has a particular view of the most famous monuments of France (to those who loves panoramic views!)

   This declared historic district is the brithplace of nineteenth-century bohemian and impressionists artists, besides actors and actresses. That's the reason of it classic look, which still present in the environment, and is visible in some specific places or symbols that it has:

• Church Saint Pierre (Since 1147), striking and visible on the town's roofs. It offers a spectacular sunset view.

• The admirable dome of the basilica of Sacré Coeur, which is at the top of the hill. Be careful and prepare your legs, 'cause it has endless stairs, BUT it's worthy to visit: An amazing scene awaits for you at the highest place (you'll see the Eiffel tower, for example).

• The Place Du Tertre or Place Pigalle (located to the west, downhill): There you'll find street artists that delight the visitors. It's out door art! They are the ones who revive the bohemian spirit, next to its preserved architecture. You can watch them while they're working or buy their works, also cheap souvenirs.

• Museums: The mansion in the back garden of the oldest hotel there OR Espace Dalí, where are situated works of the surrealist who give its name, almost of Renoir, Monet, Picasso and Van Gogh.

• Le Grand Hotel de Clermont: Where Edith Piaf (the iconic singer) lived at 1929, when she was only 14 years old...

• Cabarets! 💃: Lapin Agile, Patachou (it has been the most famous of Paris in the 60's and still splaying music bands there, because now it works as a gallery and studio) and Le Chat Noir.

• Erik Satie's house, the composer, pianist and precursor of musical minimalism ❤

• Theatre des abbesses offers daily shows.

• Coffe shops: Les deux Moulins, Moulin Rouge or Moulin de la Galette, and some others alternatives to have lunch.
  
  

(Interesting fact: The last one that i named was portrayed by Renoir, Van Gogh and Picasso)

• The Marché Saint-Pierre: A market where fabrics and paintings can be sold.
• Red Zone (Pigalle- Saint Georges): There abound sex shops and, moreover, musical instruments stores or concert halls.

• Statues and monuments: Le mur des Je t'aime, Le passe-muraille, Dalida...

The Wall of Love

• Neighborhoods of immigrant population: There are typical places and quiet walks.
• Vineyards and harvest festivals (in October): Rue Saint-Vincent and Vigne de Montmartre, valued at high prices, but they give support to social institutions with their profits.

Curious fact: The movie "Amélie: The fabulous fate of Amélie Poulain" was filmed there, in a contemporary Montmartre, showing it through an exquisite photography.

 Seeing it inspired me to want to know that particular place.
